Buzz Off, Bad Vibes: How to Use Wasp Energy in Your Workings!

July 25, 2024 by MamaSunfiyahh

Alright sweetie pookie doos, let’s dive into the buzzing world of wasps! Now, these fierce little creatures may have a nasty sting, but in the world of Hoodoo, they carry a powerful punch of spiritual significance. Wasps symbolize protection, aggression, and productivity. They teach us about the power of community, teamwork, and the importance of defending what’s ours. When you’re looking to assert your strength or ward off negativity, the wasp’s energy is just what you need.

The Spiritual Significance and Purpose of Wasps

Wasps are all about protection and aggression, sweetie. They’re the warriors of the insect world, fiercely defending their homes and taking down threats with precision. In our spiritual practices, we can harness this energy to protect our homes, assert our boundaries, and drive away negative forces. Wasps also symbolize productivity and diligence, reminding us to stay focused and work hard towards our goals.

Using Wasps in Spellwork

To bring that fierce wasp energy into your spellwork, here’s a simple yet powerful way to incorporate them:

Protection and Boundary Setting Spell:

Ingredients:

  • Dried wasp and/or nest
  • Black pepper
  • Sea salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Rosemary

Preparation: Grind all ingredients together into a fine powder.

Usage: Sprinkle this powder at the entrances of your home, around your property, or even on yourself for protection.

Incantation

Now, let’s give that spell some extra oomph with an incantation:

“By the sting of the wasp and the power of its nest,
I call on protection, to guard and to bless.
Negative forces, you’re not welcome here,
By this boundary, you shall stay clear.
With rosemary, sage, and salt so fine,
I draw this circle, protection is mine.
In the name of the Divine, I set this decree,
As I will, so mote it be.”

Bible Scripture

To seal your work with the strength of the Good Book, read Psalms 91:4-5 (KJV):

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.”

Remember, sweetie pookie doos, the wasp’s energy is nothing to play with lightly. Use it wisely and with respect. Let their fierce protection guide you, their diligence inspire you, and their aggression remind you to stand firm in your power. Remember, You hold the power over your surroundings, and with the strength of the wasp, nothing can harm you.

Blessings and protection to you all!

Be careful who you fugg with!

April 24, 2023 by MamaSunfiyahh

Child, lemme drop some wisdom on y’all now. Watch who you mess with, ’cause the universe don’t play.

This mornin’, while I was deep in communion, I gently reminded the spirit world that I’m the human form of the universal womb, the MOTHER. I don’t want no harm to come to the young ones.

And you know what happened? Spirit snapped back at me quick like lightning, sayin’, “Well, those with kids better not be causin’ harm to other folks’ children!”

Dang, Big Mama! I got the message loud and clear. This here’s a reminder for all of us. Every soul out there is someone else’s baby, so we have to be kind to each other. ‘Cause if we don’t, the universe might just serve up our own actions right back at us and even on our own offspring.

Now, I reckon this goes for folks lookin’ to have babies too. I remember when I was carryin’ my own little one, my grandma used to tell me to hush my mouth ’bout folks, ’cause my baby might just end up lookin’ like ’em. She’d say, “Turnabout is fair play!”

Everything’s energy, even our thoughts. I never heard it put quite this way before, but Spirit just told me that energy is a livin’ being made up of many livin’ souls.

Universal Laws like Cause and Effect, Attraction, Vibration, Perpetual Transmutation of Energy, and Compensation all come into play when we do, say, think, or feel. So be mindful of how you treat folks, ’cause them chickens always come back home to roost. We reap what we sow, and sometimes the harvest is a mighty bountiful one.

And for those of you who like them old-timey references, here’s a quote from Geoffrey Chaucer’s “The Parson’s (Canterbury) Tale” back in 1390: “And oftentimes such cursing wrongfully returns again to him that curses, as a bird that returns again to his own nest.” So, watch your words and your deeds, ’cause they might just come back to ya.

Blessings and Love, y’all! 🌞💫

What is a spirit broom? (Video)

April 23, 2023 by MamaSunfiyahh

A spirit broom is a traditional tool used in some spiritual practices to cleanse and purify a space or person to sweep away jinxes and other forms of negative energy.
It is typically made from natural materials like wood, straw, or feathers, and can be used in combination with herbs or incense during a cleansing ritual.

How to use a broom?
Say you had a neighbor that came to your house that you didn’t care for or someone that came to your house that you don’t want to return. You can sprinkle salt on the ground and sweep behind them. This use of the broom is to clear away something or energies. It’s really good for luck also. In African American traditions, people have used the broom for marriage which really comes from many West African traditions. Because of these traditions when a couple jumps the broom in a wedding it is to bring good luck to the marriage.
In more modern aspects of Hoodoo, workers would fix a broom by attaching different kinds of herbs such as lavender, rosemary, oregano, and tarragon or whatever herbs they wanted even poisonous herbs. Some workers have fixed a broom with healing herbs and passed it over people who are ill or put it under their bed.
Question: Do you use brooms in your spiritual practice?

Big Mama Spirit Dolls

April 18, 2023 by MamaSunfiyahh

“Big Mama” doll is a term used to describe a specific type of hoodoo doll in African-American folk magic, particularly popular in the Southern United States. It can be either a large-sized or small female doll, typically adorned with colorful fabrics, beads, flowers, and other decorative objects.

In hoodoo, the Big Mama doll is often used to represent the wise elder women of the community or as a powerful protective force. Big Mama dolls are believed to be used for both good and bad purposes, such as healing or cursing spells. They are particularly useful in spells related to love, fertility, abundance, and protection.

Dolls are often associated with the use of sympathetic magic, where the doll represents a person, and any actions taken on the doll are believed to affect that person in real life.

It’s important to note that the use of hoodoo dolls may vary based on cultural and spiritual beliefs and should be approached with respect and sensitivity. The creation and use of Big Mama dolls are deeply rooted in African American culture and history and are believed to have spiritual significance.

Free Yo Mind

April 10, 2023 by MamaSunfiyahh

Free Yo Mind (recipe)

Here is an herbal formulation for clarity, focus, alertness, and to bring things back to the right track.
You can use this formulation as an herbal tea, a dressing for candles, and for a purification bath. If you make the bath, I suggest that you add Epsom salt and oatmeal. The oatmeal is optional.
Ingredients
1 tbsp Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
1 tbsp Gotu kola (Centella asiatica)
1 tbsp Peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita)
1 tbsp Red clover flower (Trifolium pratense)
1 tbsp Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
1 1/2 tbsp Gingko leaf (Ginkgo biloba)
2 tbsp Oatmeal
1 cup Epsom
Directions
Tea: Pour the boiling water over the herbs, and leave it to steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain tea. Sweeten to taste if so desired.
Bath: Mix all ingredients together except for Epsom salt. Add Epsom into warm running bath water. Put oatmeal herbal mixture in a muslin bag or some material to prevent herbs from floating in water or going down drain. Follow your own bathing ritual protocol.
Candle Dressing: Reduce ingredients by half. Not much is needed for candle magic. Reserve extra for use with another candle ritual. No need to add the Epsom or oatmeal. Use standard protocol for dressing candles.
Additions
This herbal mixture can also be used to make a dressing/anointing oil. Use a combination of olive oil and fractionated coconut oil or use grapeseed oil. Follow the standard protocol for making oil infusions. Essential oils can also be used to amplify this oil.
